I have been searching the net for some time now, and I just can’t find the answer I’m looking for >.<I’m planning on buying Gears of War very soon, but I can’t find out if there are any limits for online play.I know that the silver and gold membership stuff was removed last year.I hope for a fast answer, since I want the game more and more ^^
Theres a player limit but all games have that and your right its free to play on ranked servers now, thats all I can think of maybe people can add more
GFWL is now free, so a silver account has access to everything GFWL has to offer,

I think he did mean Gold/Silver stuff, but there is also "Live play" in the PC version of Gears 1. Live Play is like the middle point for G/S, but all PCs hooked into live playing Gears can use it. Sometimes, there are different games using that method.
But no, other than Gold/Silver and possible country restrictions (if you like a foriegn land not supported by Live), there should not be problem on the LIVE end with the game. Your ISP and PC on the other hand... that's a different story.
GFWL - I can play Gears 1 PC in my sleep - except online, which is the nightmare part of said sleep...
I was thinking about stuff like, can I join ranked games, can I make ranked games, achievements and all that stuff.The results I found when I was searching was very different from each other, most of all be coarse it was a mix of old post and news, and confusion about how it is today.So the reply from Br41th, “its free to play on ranked servers” made me happy :DBut of cause, I still want to know more about GFWL if there are anything I need to know, since Im still quite new to it ^^
