Dear all,First of all, thank you for the Games for Windows Live Client and Marketplace - this seems like the first right step in bringing the Xbox Live experience to the PC, and it was much needed. There's still a long road to walk, but I like what I see.Thank you in advance for all the community members and moderators that will take the time to read my post and eventually answer.I'd like to know the official Microsoft position in regards to buying Fallout 3 DLC in a foreign language, given the following facts:1. I'm italian and live in Italy2. My Windows XP installation is in english3. My Windows XP regional settings are English (United States)4. I own an Xbox 3605. My "Xbox Live"/"Games for windows Live" account has been created with Country/Region=Italy (can't change this), Language=Italy (it's the only choiche)6. I bought Fallout 3 from Steam, in English7. My Games For Windows Live Client's interface is in english (as I desire)8. The content I see in the Games For Windows Live Marketplace has all its description in italian (which scares me, see later why)(If any other information is needed I'll gladly elaborate)Now, the question:If I buy one of Fallout 3 DLC's, in which language will it be downloaded and installed? My desire is of course to have it in english, but seeing point 8 above I'm afraid it'll be in italian. Is there any way I can get Fallout DLC in english?I think this is quite important for Microsoft: this platform is new and from what I can see these DLC's are all the Add-ons they have on the markeplace. So they need to get all the customers they can, and avoid losing one as a result of such an arbitrary language restriction or licensing issue, especially given the global market that the internet allows.Thank god I have the opportunity to buy the physical media, but still, it would be quite handy to just download the thing. So, Microsoft, what you say?(If this is the wrong place to ask for this, where can someone please point me to the right place?)
I guess it would be benificial to all if the DLC was posted in all avaliable languages in all regions.
It's quite strange what happened: i received a reply by "GFWModerator" in my mailbox, but i don't see it posted here: anyway, for everyone's benefit, here is the "officialest" response i had in regards to my question (headers and all, as to demonstrate it's genuine - the emphasis is mine)

Re: Requesting official stance about DLC in foreign language By GFWModerator in Fallout 3 Specific Issues
The DLC you got would be in Italian. There is a long and complicated reasoning behind this related to SKUs available per region, etc. Unfortunately, there's little to be done for it at the moment.

So there it is guys. No DLC in english for non-english accounts, it seems. Everyone interested in this should avoid GFWL and go buy the DLC in their physical media. If a mod or someone from tech support can negate the mail i received, feel free to add to this topic.Thank you all for you support and answers!
I deleted my response because I realized I wasn't able to discuss in depth the causes behind this issue, so I felt it wouldn't add much until I could. Basically, when you purchase the DLC, you are purchasing a SKU available in the country you are in. The SKUs that are available in each country are specified by the publisher, and we make those specific versions available per region based on their input. You would get the Italian DLC, because that is what is available in that region.
Thanks for the info!
So, basically, you're saying that your distribution platform would allow for mutiple-language DLCs in a single region, it's just the publisher that has decided to put some regional restrictions?
If this is the case, i can try to forward this question and your answer to Bethesda Softworks/ZeniMax Media and see if something can be changed about these policies they have in place.
If anything changes i'll update this thread.
Thank you again for your support.
I'm gonna bump this one, I'm in the exact same situation of the original poster.
I live in Italy but, since I wanna play my games in english, I bought the game (F3) from Uk... so basically now GFW is telling me that there's no way I can buy the DLC in english too?
Whatever the reason, this sucks big time.
Endy.
Yes there is Endy. You need to purchase the DLC disc that is from where you bought the fallout 3 game.
Yeah, I thought of that..
But as far as I know, as of now, there's only a DVD boxset containin the first two DLC, operation Anchorage and The Pitt. Am I wrong?
Sadly the one I was really looking forward was Broken Steel with all the sweets that it would bring to the game...
I've heard that there's a GOTY edition on the way, with all DLC in it, due for october.. there's a lot to wait...
