Hiya,
I'm a new member, here. My problem is I have Dl'd at least 3 times the DLC Mothership Zeta, and at the Windows live , My Media area It would show that the DLC had been DL's and saved to my PC but going through everything I can't find it, so I would delete and try to re download same thing. I'm running XP Pro SP2. Never had a problem Dl'ing Point Lookout it went right into my Data folder.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Thxs!
Cheers
CJ
Any content downloaded from the games for windows live client does not appear in the data folder. It is hidden and not meant to be found. All you need to do is sign into your gamertag that you downloaded the content for in game, and you will be able to access it. Your point lookout was obviously not downloaded via legit means.
Having the same problem. Windows Live downloads...start the game..."Downloading New Content"...cool. Play for 45 minutes...nothing.
Fallout 3 from scratch!
Actually as a matter of fact is was bought through legit means and I could have been mistaken as to where it was intially all I know is at present it is in my Data folder and was paid for via the Windows live marketplace, just like trying to do now with this headache of MZ,
If you want to see the purchase receipt from my CC, would be happy to show you. so don't be making it out that I obtained illegally.!
Have a nice day!

yeah it's weird Harder, and now after trying repeated DL's to get something to work, now can't even DL MZ anymore, dang if this is the misery I've heard about with Windows live they can have my money for the DL and I'll just by the DLC when it comes out like I did with OA and The Pitt, where they were combined and you could buy it in the store.
Luck to ya Harder
Considering you only created your gamertag TODAY, i think you're lying...Jack
Actually I did forget about having to click on Live in the game menu and , typing in the game product key when I bought PL, well here's hoping,
thxs for replies
On vista, in search bar at star menu type appdata, click on that folder
local folder
microsoft folder
x live folder - dlc folder - 425703d6 folder - 000000002 folder - ee728......folder- contnet folder ok almost finished
copy all the files in this folder in paste them in your fallout 3 data folder in your program files
now it should show up on the list at the amin menu u just check it to enable it.
Thxs very much for the info. cptWatkins.

Wrong answer.
Go to Data File then check off Mothership Zeta.

actually noobberry,
It was as I told the other nutcase I have CC receipts for it, what I did'nt state and had forgotten until today when I finally got MZ to work was I used the disabler and then moved through the disabler the DLC content over into my Data folder that is how it ended up there in the Data folder but as I said prior , This is my last reply I don't need to defend myself to you or gippity do rah gamer boy!
C:\Documents and Settings\(your_user_name_here)\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\XLive\DLC\(mix of numbers & letters)\(mix of numbers & letters)\(mix of numbers & letters)\Content\Zeta.esm etc
That's the default storage location. I was using the FallOut Mod Manager myself and it wouldn't pick up any of the DLC's I bought until I moved them to the data_files directory where they really ought to default to in the first place. Honestly, if the guy said he already had the files and was just trying to find it, why be a *** and say he didn't pay for it rather than just help him? If he pirated then you'd bet he would probably know where he downloaded it to rather than wherever Microshaft decided to stash them.
Now granted, if you try to move these you will probably mess up the connection FO3 has to the live stuff if you play on live for the achievements. Personally I'd rather play the game entirely locally and save myself the time of going into Live every time I turn on the game. If that's how you want to play though, I would probably suggest just either link the files/junction (whatever terminology you prefer) or just make a copy.
thanks, so much cptwadkins...I had the same problem; I bought Mothership Zeta from Games for Windows, and couldn't get it so should up in my Data section of Fallout 3. Copying the files you pointed to did it.
I think the problem was I'd never played Fallout 3 while Live on Games for Windows before....I dunno, but copying the files worked!
