Oh ok, that's cool.
I'm fine with any group (except with jerks of course =='). I prefer hanging out with newbie groups. They are not the best players, but they are actually more considerate and play as a team.
Same goes for any MP game I am in. I'll mostly try to stay away from strangers until I am ready.
And yes, I am a very laid back person. I don't think I can stand a very serious group as well XD

Just stay away from the BIG guilds that consist of 100s of players, required forms to be filled to join, 18+, voice check to make sure you actually are 18....haha. yeah people get WAY too into this game and form scary cults. There are SO MANY small guilds (10-30 ppl guilds) that you can join though and they are the true fun guilds to join.
Btw if you end up purchasing Guild Wars 1 or 2 hit me up on this and I would be glad to help you through the first couple of levels of the game and possibly point you in the direction of laid back guilds you may be interested in joining.

Will do mate =)
Yep really looking forward to Guildwars 2. Enjoyed the first one a lot. I actually made a small guild but it fell apart after a few months due to my inactivity probably lol. Had about 20 members at it's peak. Was in the bigger guilds for a while but they all took the game far too seriously for me.

Is it like wow. cuz i saw wow once i and i just left. lolz
The Communizer: Is it like wow. cuz i saw wow once i and i just left. lolz
Uh no its in all honesty not even comparable to WoW. World Of Warcraft has that cartoon-y look and feel to it and is pay to play. Also its got way too much stuff released on it.
Guild Wars is much different. You saw (I'm guessing) from the video that it looks completely different, it actually has lore behind it, has a very well balanced PvP and the PvE + story lines are just addictive. Luckily its not as addictive as WoW because it isn't pay to play so you can hop on and off whenever you'd like.
I am not saying WoW is bad, because clearly its not with over...11 millions subscribers
But if you are looking for a more mature audience then go with Guild Wars, or even Lord of the Rings Online.
Well ill check this out if its free, i just hate wow.
woohoo i gained a level trillion after 50 bilion lan partys YAY!
Gains nothing inlife lolz
also what is it mainly about. like racev race
The Communizer: also what is it mainly about. like racev race
Well it depends on which campaign you buy.
Guild Wars original is about how Ascalon was attacked by the Charr and the refugees were escaping to Lions Arch. From there the story gets into the other problems like the undead being risen by Lich (the final boss of Guild Wars original).
Guild Wars: Factions is about the two factions the Luxons and the Kurzicks who have been fighting each other for years and how Shiro the Betrayer assassinated the...idk leader of Cantha and so years later word of Shiro's return comes and you go to stop him from taking over Cantha.
Guild Wars: Nightfall is about the evil god Abaddon who is being ressurrected by Kournan leader Kormir. Basically you and the sunspears have to stop Kormir from gathering all the pieces necessary to ressurrect Abaddon who will bring Nightfall upon the world.
Guild Wars: Eye of the North is the final release for Guild Wars before Guild Wars 2. It basically ties what is going to happen in Guild Wars 2 to the original Guild Wars 1. You head into the Northern Shiverpeaks through a portal made by the Asurans and find yourself basically in the middle of struggling races. The Norn are fighting the Charr, the Asuran are fighting the Destroyers, and the Dwarves are fighting the Destroyers as well. Your job is to get the Dwarves, Asurans, Charr, and Norn to team up and take down the destroyers. At the end of this campaign is when you see the connection of Guild Wars 1 to Guild Wars 2.
Btw this was all off the top of my head so go to wikipidea or something if you want an IN DEPTH explanation.
i can't wait till guild wars 2 comes out i have been playing this game since it first came out and i have all the expansions of this game. i have like 4 level 20 characters and i have beat them all but the eye of the north and i hope to do that soon it is good to see that we have other players that play this game on here i would like to get a group together and go though the whole game again.
also what is some of your guys favorite professions mine is the assassin profession
Mike the Duke: also what is some of your guys favorite professions mine is the assassin profession
Nice to see some other players too who know the game pretty well.
My favorite profession is the elementalist because I beat every campaign with my main character who is an elementalist. They are just well balanced and loads of fun to play with. So they don't have the sweetest armour available....they still kick butt.
My second favorite profession would be tied between monk and warrior. Warriors have awesome looking armor and I beat the EotN and Nightfall with my warrior and monks are just so easy to get groups with. EVERYONE needs a monk in PvE haha.
Btw my main character's name is Flaming Renegade if anyone wants to add me ingame and chat/play. I just started playing more recently so I should be on quite often.
I think I'll have to take a look at this, I've toyed with possibly doing an mmo, and have heard about GW before, and recently saw it on sale, so I'm thinking at the price I saw it, maybe I'll give it a shot, I'm not a pay to play sort of supporter, so this would be ideal, and as for other mmo's, I've only tried Silkroad and Pirates of the Caribbean (no seriously, lol), and beta tested Conan, but Silkroad was a tad boring, PotC cuts your leveling up unless you pay monthly, and seriously not that great of a game for paying to play, so yes, if it's still on sale, I'll pick it up, I'm willing to give it a shot, especially since it sounds like a lot of people still play it.
MY favourite profession would be the Elementist. I have compleated all three campaigns with it. JUst need to finish Eye of the North. Also love the cool visual effects with the fire spells.
I also like the Ranger class because I like to use them for trapping in Factions. I mainly trap Vermin.
Warrior class is ok. I really wanted to get a character to survivor so I picked a warrior.
Hey guys, I heard that Necros aren't welcome in groups.
And when I play I wamt to be the a Necro so.... :(
PoliteMalaysian: Hey guys, I heard that Necros aren't welcome in groups. And when I play I wamt to be the a Necro so.... :(
Depends what you are doing as a necro. MM's (minion masters) are always useful in hard missions because they are great for backup. Also there are plenty of groups where you need to drain a enemy's health quickly so SS (spiteful spirit) necros are always useful for that.
Not a lot of people like necros because of how easily they are killed. With the weakest armour in the game necros are very easily killed and make a hassle for some groups. But then again necros are major damage causers with minons or health degen so they are useful too.
If you find necros aren't suiting you well (I am assuming you are buying Factions) then give Ritualists a try. Or just go with what everyone does and be a elementalist haha.
BTW if you are planning on getting Guild Wars IMO I would say buy Nightfall. Its story is much more engadging and you get Heros who are NPC's that you can customize what skills and armour they carry.
If you want a LONG story then get the Original Guild Wars.
And if you want to fight in the factions (Luxons or Kurzicks) then get Guild Wars: Factions
