I'm having connection issues playing Call of Duty: World at War.
It simply says it cannot connect and refuses to let me play multiplayer. I had a similar issue with Modern Warfare.
Is it a port setting?
Also, I was told I could play against people on XBOX Live, but I can't seem to figure out how to do that. Any help?
Thanks

Who ever told you that needs their head banged with an hammer and be sent to hospital.
No the information you got is totally false. You CAN NOT play AGAINST Xbox LIVE.

Can be your ports are closed?. Have you opened them?.
Hmm, so I can't play co-op Nazi Zombies with my friends who play on XBox Live?
Well that sucks. Why would they tell me I could?
I have no idea if the ports are open or closed. How do I tell? How do I change it?
Thanks!
Use the PortChecker tool :- http://www.portforward.com/help/portcheck.htm
Iam not sure what port does COD: WAW use?.
Do you have a router?.
I do have a router. I don't know the specs off the top of my head.
So I can't play Nazi Zombies co-op with my friends on XBOX360? That sucks. That's the reason I bought the game!

It doesnt even say LIVE on the box, Another victim of a xbox game not being live and cross platform.
It would say on the box if you were able to play against xbox 360 users, really? there's no victims just people presume a little too much. Well as usual I've gone of on a tangent so swiftly back on to the topic:
The ports that need to be forwarded on your router are:
Universal Plug and Play (enabled)
UDP 28960
TCP 28960
UDP 3074 (only if your router does not support UPnP)
NAT needs to be set to 'open' (network address translation)
