Title pretty much explains my problem. When I try signing in, I allow the update to be installed automatically. But instead, I get an error saying I can't login until I installed the update, with an additional window popping up, telling me to install the update manually, with the link to the latest update. So I click on the link. The browser opens up, but the webpage to the update cannot connect.
I don't think it can be my internet connection, because that is well connected. Is the latest update page down? Or is there something wrong with my connection?

Hello H2V, are you the same person as the OP? If not are you having the exact same issue? What OS do you have? Also are you able to do a normal Microsoft Update from the site?
Nope, H2V an I are two different people. Also, my OS is XP.
