I just bought batman arkham asylum and logged into my live id and it tells me theres an update and that if i dont update life will disconnect.
so i decided to update and it loads to about 98% dl and nothing happens (sometime i get an error) but i checked all the stickies for the problems that accured like some other game and none of them works. can someone tell me if therees a manual download i can do outside of the game?
that would be much easier.
are you sure its not your live client? and not the game

the edios page isnt loading for some reason, also i got mine through steam, you think it will patch automatically like every other game?
I had it do the same thing, but I just left it alone for a while (I was at work though so that was easy to do). It took about 10 minutes but it finally restarted the game and everything was fine.
For the people experiancing this issue, would you mind telling me what OS you are currently on? If you are using XP have you installed the hotfix?

Are people still having this issue? If so, have you tried simply waiting till it either updates or crashes? Or are you aborting the download?

I am still downloading this from steam, but since its such a big file when it download it fails during the update phase. some people got it up to 98% and have it fail, and i am never able to download updates from the GFWL program, so i hope either steam will update it, or we will get a separate download for this patch.
It is like 100 mb for the patch, from what people have been saying.

Yeah, it's a fairly sizable patch, but as long as the program does not crash you should technically still be downloading even if the progress bar has not moved for a while. So giving it a few min is likely the best solution right now.
(Unofficially I usually just go make a sandwich or something whenever I patch a game as I tend to go insane staring at that bar :) )
Oh which would be fine on normal internet lol, but my internet is 20 kbs. I have tried patches in the past via GFWL, but had to manual patch the game ( Fallout 3, GTA 4, Halo 2, etc etc) so i know for a fact if steam doesnt install a patch, i will have to wait for a manual patch lol.
