I successfully downloaded it onto my original computer from the preorder code i got from Gamestop, but i tried to install it onto another computer to see if the map can be redownloadable but the code will not work again nor can i find a way to redownload it. Is there a way i'm not seeing or does anyone know where the files are downloaded to so i can make a backup?
You will have to open up the out of game Games for Windows Client, it is in your all programs > Microsoft Games for Windows - Live. Sign in with your gamertag that you entered the code with. Click the My Media tab, then change the view to entire history. Then It will show it & you will be able to redownload it.
I have done that, it wasn't even showing on my other computer.
On your other computer have you installed http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=128962. If do not have a GFWL title on that PC, you will have to do install from the link I provided. Then it will show inside your all programs.
Or you can search for "GFWLive.exe" in your windows search. If your client is not up to date with the current version, you will have to update it in order to login to your gamertag.
Actually thanks, i did manage to redownload it onto the other computer. I had to change from Local to History in the My Media area to redownload it. Glad to see its there, but would you know where it could be located on the hard drive?
It is in a hidden file & folder. Inside C:\Users\"PCName"\Appdata\local\microsoft\xlive. It is likely signed to your profile & cannot be used with any other gamertag.
for XP it's C Documents and settings username app data, etc
