Hello.

I just bought Resident evil 5. Excited as I was to try it out, it seems I can't play with my friend in CO OP. Now We have tried everything. He creates a map with invite only, and invites me through live. It doesn't work. I get the same error every single time; This game sessions has been cancelled.

We also tried it with open status (anyone can join) still nothing. I also tried making, same error.

I tried joining a random game, and it works, given it shows connectivity next to their name.

Are anyone having the same issue? I know the xbox, and ps3 had the same issues.

There is a solution, and it works perfectly. Start up a game, make it public (Your friend has to be fast with this next part), then have your friend search for the specific chapter you'll be playing, have him join your game and it should work.

Me and my friend were having "Game Session Has Been Cancelled" problems, but the fix I just told you worked 100% of the time for us. I can only assume Capcom screwed up part of the online, otherwise it wouldn't let us connect 100% of the time with the above method.

Sorry seems like there's some sort of posting bug, I pressed post topic, and then updated the topic to see the replies, but it must have created an exact same topic each time. Sorry.

Anyway, we tried that and it's still not working. We still get the same error. It's not an issue with our router either as we can both play other games online without any trouble. We also configured our firewall to allow resident evil 5.

This is getting really frustrated. Oh well I guess we can hope they release a patch soon which fixes this problem.
