Anyway, I was wondering, have the Halo 2 servers stopped being hacked/shutdown or will they be after this?

hopefully this might sort my live client issues as well. one thing I have noticed is that all the older live games especially the 1.0 client games such as gears and halo 2, I am having problems with pausing in the friends and messages section but not in the more modern games such as fallout, SFIV and batman.
since the 3.0 client was released that is.
Most Sever maintenance are to fix and add stuff.....OMG
