I recently joined and downloaded Fook 2. It is a mod for the Fallout 3 world. If tou've nee playing Fallout 3 for a while and want a game that changes everything for the better, check this one out. You can download it for free on www.fookunity.com . This mod changed every thing from weapons to ammo types and even added  things to the wastes (like hunting Parties, and bands of roaming Regulator Parties instead of "hit squads"). And for fans of the entire Fallout series, they added som special things. (ie super stimpacks, power fists now take power cells as in fallout 1 and 2, and many more. And power armor has night vision built into the helmets.) It does make the game a bit harder (finding the right ammo for your weapon can get tedious at times,) but it is offset by the common sense things they added. The repair system is a great improvement. You can now use scrap metal and wonderglue to repair certain things and even use the work bench to scrap and break down items.

Bottom line, after playing the game entirely through using Fook 2, Fallout 3 went from being a 4 star game to being a 5 star, all the way. CHECK THIS MOD OUT! YOU WONT BE DISSAPOINTED!

Forgot to add, the induction of random "Named" enemies. New followers, and an extensive relationship building quests for you and your followers (not some "you can have sex in game now crap, but quests to grant your followers special abilities to help you along your quests. Example. You give your follower his/her favorite drink, they now trust you a bit more. You can now heal them a bit, using your medical skill.) Also random drops are specifically leveled for you and your play style.

This mod is also full compatible with the Weapon Mod Kits mod, which lets you put things onto your weapons, like laser sites (reduces firing spread) extended clips (double ammo capacity in weapon) and silencers (lowers damage, but the weapon is quiet) and many more.

Fook 2 adds more than 80 new weapons to the game from old favorites like the weird plasma rifles from Fallout 2 (with the forks on the front) to the ability to use rakes and shovels as weapons, in a pinch. Hundreds of new armors and custimizable things you can add to your armors. (Like eyepatches and bandanas, ect.)

This Mod as all others is a free download. And the Weapon Mod Kit mod can be downloaded (free yet again) from Fallout Nexus.

In my opinion this is how the game should have been (no offence meant to Bethseda) and I cannot justify, in my mind, ever going back to the "vanilla" version of the game, after playing it with these mods. I think you all will agree.

Not to mention the re-induction of Tribals to the Fallout world (see Fallout 2) There are now bands of nomads the roam the wastland. Some are hunters of mirelurks and such, some are cannibals. And as a guilty pleasure, nothing makes you feel more American that pulling a firearm on people with bows and spears. (just a joke, I in no way condone the killing of tribal peoples. It was more a jab at the way white folks have done buisness throughout history.)

Now as a warning, this is still a work in progress, but the result right now is quite playable, and the new and final patch is set to be released in a easy self installer package mid next month (october). Most everything is working now. And working well. Its an amazing mod, and should be required to play Fallout 3.

Please be aware people, that once a game is moded, there is no support available for the GFWL team.

I'm not against modding, but if it causes problems, your on your own!

Have fun, and.......................

Actually, I have installed this mod, it comes with a self-installer, and played the entire time I've been on GFWL, with it on. It changes the items and adds lots of random events, but doesnt change the main quest. While it adds side quests-it takes nothing away. I've been doing just fine on GFWL with it enabled. Just make sure you have the add-ons before you enable the Fook content for each one, or it will crash you. example: If you dont have Mothership Zeta, uncheck the Fook2-Mothership Zeta, in the data menu. Other than that, enjoy! You wont be dissapointed!

Another warning, this Mod beefs up the graphical intesity of the game, ei it removes the green haze thats over everything and adds alot more landmarks. Make sure your PC can handle it. If your Having issues with some of the new graphical features, you can in game press the "o" button, and turn some of the Fook specific graphics down.

Lol i don't have a green haze, and i run everything on max. My laptop is pretty good so it can handle what Fallout can throw at it lol. I have jsut read on some places that fook makes some of the textures on the weapons worse.

It is still a work in progress, there are a few weapons that still look like doo doo, but the amount of weapons it adds in crazy. Here I'll compile a list. I just reported the XAEF 45 Pulse rifle (new weapon, has a texture problem. It looks pink(like neon). And the M14 Springfield has a firing issue. (Sometimes it fires, sometimes it wont) these are all problems that are being worked out. But that is a very small number: Im pulling this from the actual program.

Over 150 weapons added!
- 11 Grenades and Mines
- 22 Melee Weapons
- 14 Shotguns / Rifles
- 25 Pistols
- 21 Sub-Machine Guns
- 36 Assault Rifles
- 11 Sniper Rifles
- 21 Miniguns, Gatlings, Machinguns and other Heavy Weaponry

Ive played through the game twice now with Fook, and two weapons are all Ive seen that are messed up. And they will be fixed mid-october, when the final patch is released. I cant wait. Stick out tongue
