I'm not to sure what is going wrong i installed gears of war just because i hadn't played it in a while and felt like playing it again had to get it all updated before i could even play so i finally get that going and i sign into live i stop playing after a while and close the game a few hours later i feel like playing it again and im trying to sign in but when i press f1 to bring up my profiles or press the home key it just says signing in and just sits there i can't close the menu or anything and it's not connecting at all i have left it alone for about a half hour hoping to get a error prompt but nothing has come up any ideas? ( also my firewall is off and i have just tried signing in using my 360 and all went perfectly fine )

You may want to try to delete the profile & recover it.
