Game for windows games are supposed to support the xbox 360 controller but there are games such as quantum of solace, COD:WAW and hour of victory that only support KB and Mouse. Fallout 3 won't work with KB and mouse if you have the 360 controller on.

It isn't mandatory for a game to have 360 controller support to have the GFW branding, ONLY IF the game was to have controller support, then they ask that the 360 be supported for the branding. That's all.

I know that, what I mean is that shouldn't be the case. I'm saying that all 3 should be built into the game even if someone only has a keyboard and mouse. controller support should be compulsory regardless to earn the GFW Branding.

Some people prefer kb and mouse some prefer controller.

BLAME THE CONSUMER!!!! How can you guys say microsoft isn't helping you guys in the PC field if you guys aren't willing to pay for the service....... why doesn't anyone ever think of that,,,, oh yeah they do "Eh, i own a pc, that means free,free,free..........

Because we paid $300 for windows vista ultimate for no reason.

Because we paid for MS Dos, windows 95, 98 and 2000.

Because we are paying $150 - $300 (Australian) for windows 7

Becuase my windows sale is supporting your xbox extended warranty program.

Because we have spent fortunes on computers over the years.

Because we don't get a free PC when a part breaks down.

Because our games still cost mostly the same as console versions

Because your console games are developed with a PC.

Have I forgotten anything???????

The only other reason I can think of works against your argument unfortunately (not that I'm saying you are wrong).

We also pay for most of the software that goes on our computers (if its not acquired by illegal means, which they SHOULDN'T!)

Instead of paying for something and owning it, we now pay for things that we cant ever physically touch. Warranties, licenses, services, subscriptions.

The truth of the matter is that people are willing to pay for convenience, so industry thinks its ok to keep charging for it. And that is only a generalization of everything, not just gaming.

I enjoy reading this back and forth debate but the same arguments are always used and no one seems to care that we are comparing Apples to Oranges. Just because both can play games, doesn't mean they are the same (although that gap is now closing).

Forgive me if I confuse anyone with my "logic." Its late here and I'm practically asleep on my keyboard.

No they don't. PC games are always a lot cheaper.

live charge users because its the first console service and has charged from the begining look at PSN its FREE and some games even have dedicated servers while xbox games dont, M$ charge live because ppl still pays it if they stop M$ stop charging for the live service that the same user host (im talking about online multiplayer)

while in pc they wanted to charge too but nobody was so stupid to pay 50$ a year for something youre hosting ^^ thats why its free live on pc

BTW: console games are 10$ more expensive because M$ charge developers, and PS3 uses bluray not an exactly cheap format ^^(on pc digital distribution is obvious so i will not explain that)

Cheers

not the good games. Here in australia MW2 is a $99.95 game (for standard version) regardless if that is PC, XBOX or PS3.

Maybe it is an australian thing.

And why shouldn't multiplayer be free. Except for MMO's all other games multiplayer have been free since gaming was invented on PC. Who on PC would buy a game that requires you to pay for multiplayer. I wouldn't.

If we are talking about paying for such services then why don't you pay $300 more for your xbox 360 so microsoft can make money on the console. You get consoles given to you at a loss by MS. If you consider your console equal to a PC then surely you should be paying $600 instead of $300 for it. Especially considering that if it breaks down you get an infinite supply of replacable xbox's. That way MS can make money on the hardware and then offer you free online multiplayer.

$600 should get you a pretty decent computer with which you can game on.

If your just talking about the box and with the dollar now almost 1 to 1 with the US dollar it would be about 5-10 percent higher then what you would consider decent over in the US. Mainly that is due to lower volume of the australian/nz market compared to the US market.

Australia's population is only about 21 million and new zealand has about 4.4 million people.
