I'm tired of reading in this forum that Microsoft isn't doing anything for PC gaming

First of all, it has made this brand "Games For Windows"

Second. it is member of PC Gaming Alliance

http://www.pcgamingalliance.org/Home/tabid/354/Default.aspx

DONE!,

Third. im still waiting tor a big potential LIVE game...Gears of War 2

where's Microsoft?

Counting the money which they getting from Win 7.

they could be getting money from other things, but i won't get into that

The image which you show often reflect to you a lot.

Really.... what MS did:

- They closed one of the most damned succesfull gaming studios in the world (Ensemble), together with a lot of other more or less succesfull studios

- The games they give out those days are in general ports from consoles

- Windows sucks. If you want Windows to work OK, you need to know VERY well what you're doing, use tons of tools to fix giant holes in the security (since even patches from MS tends to create new leaks in the security) and have plenty of time to fix it.

So no, MS is doing a bit for PC, but not much

That happens to every OS that is being released. Even the beloved MAC OS and Linux is not secure. They will always be bugs forever and ever and happily ever after.

i dont post much here but i read almost all the news. but this particular topic gave me some

interest to write a reply.

anyway, ARE YOU KIDDING ME DUDE?

microsoft used to do a lot more for pc until the xbox came out. then they focused on that and

closed some pc centric studios/games. gfwl has been out for about 2.5 years and it still doenst

have out of the game chat, no way to check game achievements out of the game unless xbox.com,

no way to check whos online out of game unless xbox.com, . . .

they tried to charge 50 bucks for online multiplayer on PC? the service which was free even before

the first console to support online play came out (dreamcast - R.I.P).

and microsoft's biggest competitor, sony doesnt charge for online play.

i agree that if xbox players were to stop paying for live, eventually microsoft would make it free.

and personally, i think that microsoft wants to close down gfwl because they hate giving

things away for free but they cant close it down because there are so many games right

now that support live.
