CL Kingzy Huh? [:^)] Posted: Thu, Oct 29 2009 1:43 PM

Hi, I'm writing this here to ask for your opinion on this subject:

How would a GFWL Dashboard be for Windows? Being able to manage Gamerscore, Achievements, Unlockables, Join Parties and chat with all your friends in the one application, a simple desktop application that would launch full screen and look very similar to the Xbox 360 Dashboard, although more actions will be available. I think because Windows main colours are 'Blue' the dashboard could have Blue buttons and a Blue theme to it, which may even be customizable. Previous games played on your Gamertag will list in this program and will allow you to view which of your friends are playing the game at the current time, you will be able to join in game sessions with them, and games may be selectable from the Dashboard. So basically, we will have a PC Gaming Console.

Please answer the question in the attached poll, Thank you ;)

Shall we put this Ahead to Microsoft?

Do you think this is a good idea?

  • Yes (64.7%)
  • No (35.3%)

PC and console are two different things.  A lot of PC gamers will hate it if this would happen.

Yeah that is sort of what I had been hoping for ever since I joined Games for Windows - Live but we can't expect to see this for a while. GFWL is still growing and more and more people are joining everyday.

EVENTUALLY we may see this or better yet an operating system that functions as the "Dashboard" and contains everything XP, Vista, and W7 has (Internet Explorer, Windows Media Center, Windows Messenger, Games for Windows (- Live), Music, Pictures, Videos, and all the jazz)

Patience is a virtue.

Hello where have you been?

I have been asking for exactly this for the last 2 years since I played my first GFW LIVE Game and joined this forum.

Yes It is exactly what I want.

There is an evolution going on here, and remember that the GFWL Client is relatively new and I know we will get most of what you are all asking for in time.

Just wait and see.  Like I said earlier, let's get ALL the bugs worked out first.

yeah well not everybody has access to the xbox tab in messenger. I believe only the US and Japan have this tab.

Maybe if gfwl could make a downloadable add on that would be nice.
