#1 You don't need to make two threads

#2 No it's not going to work. Your motherboard is ancient. Core 2 CPU's will not work on it.

Anyways, I'm off to work soon. If you have any more questions I'll answer them when I get back.

PS: Upgrading your computer is a waste of money. I'm not trying to be an a$$ but from what I saw the majority of upgrades will not be compatible and it's just a waste.

Ahh okay. Nevermind then.

Anyways, your motherboard is not compatible with the Core 2's. It is years old and just because it's the same socket doesn't mean it will use anything that uses said socket.

Give me your motherboard one more time. I can double check. Just be fast. I'm heading out in 10 minutes.

Nah, the pc i'm getting is gonna be 10x better than your or my current one, but i wanted to get more life out of my current one after i found this info about it

This was just an extreme budget build i wouldnt build any less than a quad core or higher for myself and would never pay for an already built pc.

im gone to be doing a 250 dollar quad core (amd makes a 99 dollar quad core)  build for a mate of mine when he gets his money together
