What software are you trying to install exactly?

PC specs: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Processor 3.00 GHz, Windows 7 64-bit, 5.00 GB of RAM and a GeForce 9800 GTX+ graphics card.

Can we get a little more information? Without knowing what your plug and play device is, or what version of Mcafee's Virus software you use, it makes it difficult to answer your query...

And as far as Ive seen with Mcafee, all their products support Windows 7, as well as Alcohol 120% (at least thats what I assume you mean by saying 'alcohol').

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-7/en-us/Details.aspx?type=Software&p=McAfee%20Total%20Protection%202009&v=McAfee&uid=9&pf=0&pi=0&c=Utilities&sc=Security&os=32-bit

Seems to be compatible with both 32- and 64- bit versions.. So you run the installer and it stops midway, doesn't run at all, or installs but Mcafee doesnt run afterwards?

easiest way to do that is, WHEN THAT ERROR POPS UP, press print screen, open paint, ctrl + v to paste your screen, save it as a .jpg, and finally upload the image onto this thread..
