Well, i'm trying to change my vista startup sound. Now in XP that was easy as pie, but apparently i have to give an arm and a leg to change the vista sound. Can anyone help?

lol, that's the guide i was following, but i keep getting the "you do not have permission" error message. That's why i need more help

lol, had that off since vista came out, but no, that's not the problem, it's saying i don't have permission to change system32 files
GivenToFly11: You need to take ownership of the file then. Right click the file, properties, and go to the security tab. Go to advanced, owner, and edit. It says ownership SYSTEM right? Change that to Administrator. Apply and get out of their. Then go back to the security tab and click on edit and allow the write permission, etc. Whatever you need.
