It looks no better then jedi outcast or jedi academy. Lucasarts has really lost the plot when it comes to PC gaming.

30 FPS is good for me... and the graphics don't look bad... I mean is not crysis but is OK, since 4 years ago the graphics quality of most games is very good. Well is my opinion

^ Lol

Remember when Lucasarts said the reason they didn't make this game for the PC was because it would take a $5000 computer to run it?

Anyways that division of Lucasarts is incompetent. Just plain retarded. The new division they have remaking classics actually knows what they are doing.

im already thinking of upgradeing my graphics.

damn the to games i wont be able to max out with a 4850 and tri core [:'(]

This game looks a lot better than the old Jedi Knight games. Screenshots do not tell the whole story you have to play the game to appreciate the stunning backdrops with things like star destoyers, debris & complex space battles going on whilst you battle your way through them. I cannot get this until 20th Nov as thats the EU release date but already own it all on the X360 anyway (except for the Hoth DLC) and in places it looks utterly stunning even though the textures are low res & the screen tearing from lack of vsync is really bad a few levels look incredible (Raxus Prime is the best) and most have a strong star wars feel to them.

Sure the gameplay is no improvement over the JK series but at least the PC is getting this finally as well as all 3 console DLC levels and superior graphics. The days of Lucasarts or anyone else making PC specific games are long gone as piracy & high game budgets means multiplatform releases are here to stay.

Aspyr did this port not Lucasarts they outsourced it all to save money doing a decent job and Aspyr are well know for their crappy PC ports!

I'm not saying Lucasarts did a decent job at all!! as to save money they outsourced it on the cheap to Aspyr to avoid doing a decent PC port as that would cost Lucasarts more money and for years their accountants have controlled the development! You can actually edit a config file to change detail levels to low and it still looks good if you do not have a high spec PC but an Nvidia 8600GT can run this fine apparently so unsure why some PC gamers are moaning about that aspect anyway!

And yes your right the 360 suffers from huge piracy but it still manages to sell millions of games vs the PC has huge piracy and struggles to sell 100,000's copies. I only bought a 360 to game on (3 years ago) as the pirates have ruined the PC gaming market as a mainstream platform so I can either game on my 360 when the PC has nothing I want to play or game on nothing as I sold my PS3 because the software support is so poor.

PC is always my focus for games but if its not getting the releases I want to play I will buy the 360 version and wait & hope the PC gets the game ported then I buy that as well. All of the 360 games on my gamertag (which got ported) I also bought on the PC!!!!

I'm not saying it looks bad but it is old, maybe 4-5 years ago it would have been considered state of the art on pc. Really it's nothing compared to the effects you get in modern PC games such as crysis, race driver grid or what dirt2 is going to bring to the table with dx11 graphics. It looks equivalent to a current console game, it is nothing special and should easily run on 4-5 year old hardware rather then the modern stuff it is asking for.

why has this thread been moved to off topic gfwmod.

this might not be a games for windows game but it is still a game that runs on windows.

Maybe a new section called general PC gaming or something is needed in these forums.

Why are you questioning GFWLMod infinite wisdom?.
