I'm playing a game like Shadowrun or NBA 2K10 and at some really RANDOM point my pc just completely freezes/locks-up and I have to restart every time. This didn't happen with Windows Vista with DX10........The freezes might occur because of Win 7 that I installed on launch day or it could be because of DX11....I'm not sure

Anyone has any ideas of what might be possibly forcing these freeze ups to occur?

truthfully, I have the random Shadowrun crashes in both, more often in Vista actually.

When it freezes, does it just freeze, and cant do anything but hard reboot? or can you ctrl-alt-del out of it, or does it just CTD?

Did you update or install all your MOBO drivers when you put Windows 7 on?

It requires a hard reboot.......ctrl-alt-del wont work.......nothing else works except the restart button

I have a 750i SLI motherboard  and EVGA doesn't list windows 7 drivers on its webpage. So I have no clue about the MOBO drivers....

How about the windows 7 update program, it sometimes has drivers that you have to install your self.
