i will have some extra money this month since i fail two subjects in the coarse that am doing, so i have to do them over instead of going forward.

i always wanted to by the EVGA 1GB 285 FTW with backpate, i kinda change my mind since i herd everyone talking about directx 11 but the only directx 11 cards the have out is 5870. The video card is for gaming and i hear most people say that for gaming is always better to go nvidia espiallly how u always see there logo displayed on the games

So if u were me wat would u do buy the 285, or the radeon which i always have doubts about or wait on the 300 series

If you can wait before upgrading do so. If you need a new card now go with Radeon. Nivida has not come close in preformance in the past few gens

Both companys will bring out newer cards as time goes. What he means is just wait for them to bring out those newer cards if your not in any kind of rush.

If you need a card now, buy it now; really, once the new cards hit the shelves, there'll be something better in the pipeline.

This is not true at all. The top end geforces are faster then everything but the just  released 58 series. The question is do you want a dx11 card now or later. If you need a dx11 card now then go with the radeon. But if you can wait 3-4 months for gt300 then do so.

Most dx11 games won't be available until about february anyway but the choice is yours.

DX11 cards are coming fast and furious.  Not under 100 yet but in the 150 to 200 range and this is affordable for many.

Just do your homework and know what you want and how much you are willing to spend.

EVERYONE will have their opinion on this but it is up to you in the long run.  Just educate yourself and do the research and I am sure you will find what you want.
