I have configured port forwarding, as suggested in the links. However, my IGD test gives me the following result for UPnP:
The operating system is Windows XPUPnP is enabled by the firewallUPnP services are runningUPnP Discovery is enabledDetecting Internet Gateway Devices on the network1 IGD(s) foundIGD Device Information:Manufacturer Name : NETGEAR, Inc.Model Name : RangeMax(TM) Wireless RouterModel Number : WPN824v2get_StaticPortMappingCollection() returned NULL IStaticPortMappingCollectionget_StaticPortMappingCollection() returned NULL IStaticPortMappingCollectionget_StaticPortMappingCollection() returned NULL IStaticPortMappingCollectionFailed to get port mapping from the IGD
Sigh.
Ok, so I made the connection test and in test results I see that I don't have UPnP supported ! But why if I'm sure that I turned it on in my router settings?
OMG I know what was wrong! I didn't had marked port 80 which is very important. Gosh....this connectivity test is really good :) Thank You Xezerex for You help ;) I'll also try to help other players :) <cheers>
Great it's not working again and I didn't changed anything !!!! I'll just wait for some patch or the next update because LIVE is really pissing me off !!
1). GfW Live not connecting
2). Flatout Ultimate Carnage
3). I try to sign in, but it doesn't work, lists network problems:
4). I bought it from a friend, and a key from d2cdkey.
5). Iviv Aitylin
6). PC, no 360
7). Virgin Media, dynamic connection, no username/password.
8). Cable internet.
9). Belkin F5D7230-4, Firmware version 4.03.03
10). Home wireless network
11). Windows Vista Ultimate SP 2 build 6002, 64 bit
12). ESET Smart Security, interactive mode so whenever any program attempts to connect I got the option to deny/allow, and FoUC is allowed. Plus, disabling the firewall still yeilds no results. The Router has a firewire, but it is disabled.
13). I can connect to the GfWL client with no problems, as well as as using Viva Pinata. Strangely, Flatout Ultimate Carnage doesn't even appear in the list of GfWL games in the client, yet it uses the system?
Internet is working fine. Running the connectivity evaluation tool, the Network Address Translator Type test finished with a 'not supported' result, and the UPnP test took almost 300 seconds, rather than the 'up to 180 seconds' the test suggested, though I'm not sure if it mattered much.
Any help will be appreciated!
After many many hours of fighting with my problem I think that at rest I solved it. I just needed to upgrade my router firmware version to newest and now it's ok. Tomorrow I'm going to create some guide for people who need that.
Dear Iviv Aitylin,
If the test took so long You should be sure that You won't connect LIVE. This test is very important. Did You tried to add Street Fighter 4, Games for Windows LIVE and ports to Windows Firewall exceptions? Also tell me: do You have more than one network adapter? And is Your router firmware version is the newest available version?
I would say my problem is like Cobra's but I have a different type of router. Mine is linksys dosen't have all the options he dose and I do not know how to properly configure my network to let windows live threw for me to use it. I have never tried to porting intill now. I have tried to follow the steps you have provided as best as I could. But it still is not able to connect to windows live.
Also how do I enable all UpnP related programs.
Hi there, and thanks for the reply,
I don't actually own SF4, nor did I mention it in my post ;)
I've not been able to find a list of ports the game uses, though I've just tried forwarding the generic 360 Live port (3074) and its connected me! Go figure.
Thanks for the pointer ^_^
Hello Geara. First of all You must tell Us what model of router exactly do You have, it's very important. You must download and upgrade Your firmware version. I also have Linksys router and I couldn't log inot LIVE untill I installed new firmware version. At the moment I don't have time to tell You how to do that but I'll definitely tell You later :)
Iviv:
As I said, I don't have time right now but I can tell You that the most important ports for LIVE are:
- port 80 (TCP)
- port 3074 (UDP)
I have supporterd those ports and everything is ok.
Isn't port 80 the general http port? And as such, if I forward that to my PC, wouldn't any other http requests end up being sent to my PC, and not the other PCs on the network?
I may be talking rubbish though. Anyway, 3074 did the trick, so hooray.
Hey everyone, this is a list of routers that are compatible with Vista (and GFWL)

I have opened all the ports
I still cant login. look at my problem here
