Hello,
Im having issues connecting to xbox live on my notebook, i got my network adapters figured out and ran into another problem.
Whenever i try to sign in with my Live id account in Halo 2 i get the following error message:
"Can't connect to live. Your game may have been altered. Uninstall the game and try again

I am running Live 3.0 (upgraded from the 1st one), Halo 2 vista (French version, legit copy bought from Switzerland). I have not done any modifications to the game, i have tried reinstalling it and the issue still persists.

Game works fine other then that, i would just like to grap the achievement points for my Live account =(

Any help appriciated!

You said you bought it in Switzerland.  Where do you live now?  This could be a region issue if you are now somewhere else.  Doesn't mean you can't play it where you are now, but check to be sure.

Other then that, uninstall the client including the redistributable, and completely uninstall the game and try again.  Do a direct connection to see if it is your router and check to make sure all router settings are enabled for online GFWL gaming.  There is a turorial at the beginning of the technical section of the forums to help new users.

Good luck

Ill give that a try on my main modem as i get home, i live in Finland right now so it shouldnt be a region issue.

Thanks! Ill report back if i get it working.
