well ok, its upgrading stuff like humans get more money and there tec. cost no magic, Elf has auto heal if they take no hits, and you buy weapons and get more money with more kills  but if you die you might get your weapon(s) lost    ypu can get a "rez" but if your "master" dies you begin to "bleed out"

batman or fuel.

Both have demos so you can check if they run well on your system.

Batman is a fantastic game, can't fault it in any major way tbh.

Fuel is a good game, can get a bit repetative in the single player, but there are plenty of people on the forums who have the game & are up for some multiplayer fun

Out of that list, go for Batman. You will not be disappointed.

Shadowrun has no leveling up features, only achievements. Sorry.

But still the best multiplayer experience of all time IMO.

But if you are looking for a game where you accumulate perks and leveling up, I'd say GTA:IV probably, though I have it and hardly play it, but the GTA series has never thrilled me personally.

I'm personally going to be getting Batman and Clone Wars out of your list.

I find it hard to play a online game when theres no levelling or ranks lol.

I can understand that, but I'm only saying don't rule it out if you like playing multiplayer games.  The game is really cheap now, so it wouldn't be a great waste of money if you decided to try it.

I know a lot of people who endured the learning curve and aren't at all sorry they spent the money.

At least there's achievements if that's any incentive.
