I come on at the 52:20 mark and we talked through to the 59:11 mark.
Some notes: One, Yeah, I had to remind the masses that Live is free on the PC. I also gave props to our Capt'n; It is indeed a FACT, he was the one of the main driving forces to make our experience free and he deserves the nod.
Two, before anyone jumps in asks why I was using Treyarch's COD game for my sales examples - COD is a Infinity Ward franchise. Acitivision wanted IW to do a COD title YEARLY, but IW fought that and that is why we see Treyarch and IW swaping years. But COD was created by IW, and even if Treyarch makes the game, it is managed and overseen by IW. So the money made from whatever version of COD you play is put back into IW's coffers as well.
Three, you may not have heard it clearly over myself and Brian talking at the same time, but I asked them what if Valve split off its products from the rest of the Steam service, would people be upset over that? I think if Valve split off their titles and stopped broad support of Non-Valve/Steam influenced titles, you might see a similar reaction to that as well.
Four, Oh YEAH, I called you cheap PC gamers out. Consoles have been carrying the DLC load for several years now; so if you want those same experiences, those same GAMES on the PC, it is geniuely time to step up and stop putting your money into your hardware ONLY and give some of that up to the companies that actually give you a GAME TO PLAY. Again, if you are dropping dual SLI cards into your system, you can afford a map pack.
Five, I was calling this scenario back in the early spring, remember? Remember when I was here EVERY DAY debating the merits of Steam with its supporters on this forum, I made it clear that the differences between PC and console gamers were going to change. And it has.
Six, threatening IW employees with harm and malice IS juvenile. You have to NO backbone talking like that. As a PC gamer, you EMBARRASS US ALL by acting out like spoiled children.
And finally, a message for Robert Bowling:
Dear Robert,
If folks are not pleased with the STEAM/IWNET mix, then by all means, the GFWL community would gladly take your game for our library. $60 price point or not. Yank the Steam support, take a month or two to drop in the service we use (GFWL/IWNET?), and WE WILL BE GRATEFUL for a title of such AAA quality. We wanted it for World At War, and missed out then, so if you see this (and I know you will Robert, you shot me from the Bell Tower many, many, many times in the COD4 MP Beta), please know that if IW is tried of hearing the bleating of the ungrateful sheep, we will gladly give you the support they would not.

btw. steam is fuc**in great pawns the a$$ of M$, but the problem is IW matchamaking system hosted by the own user ( non dedicated servers).
so you're happy with no mods? high ping? opening ports? no more clans? have a non restricted nat? c'mon youre not a pc gamer. youre just a console kid who has played one or two gfwl titles to increase his gamer score (or whatever taht xbox thing is called) ^^
You said that the new system is good because now we are forced to pay for dlc? come on! before we dont buy dlc massively because we have mod, made for the own user and free! now we just get the content from iw. (youre happy paying 10$ for 2 maps who has being made with an editor in 5 minutes each?)

As for "bending over", why? Last time I checked, I have been here longer than BOTH OF YOU. I have done more for this "community" than BOTH OF YOU. You two like to sit and whine and moan about things you have no direct influence over. But other than that, you two have done JACK SQUAT for the GFWL banner other than trying to dismiss it. Go back to your Crisis and your Half Life mods and leave the people who WANT to use GFWL and LIKE IT alone. This picked up on the same topic I pointed out on the show. Money is money gentlemen, and no matter what you may feel about it personally, you are outnumbered by those willing to give IW and Treyarch their support.
I could sit here and bash the pompus whining you two ARE KNOWN for, but why reinforce what you do so well already? As for PC gaming history, I was a PC Gamer from 1980-2004 (C64 to Pentium 3-4 single core PCs). I left for consoles then because of games like the first ARMA, which you know as well as I was a nightmare to play. I left because the simplicity of consoles was a welcome change from the "look at mah hot rod!" mentality of PC Gamers (which still seems to hold true today). I came back in 2007 because GFWL introduced a linked experience to my PC using what I was doing on the consoles. I was part of a group got this forum off the ground and it still thrives to this day. I laugh at your supposed "experience" Given because all I see is another buttsore PC gamer who can not take reality in any way shape or form. The simple fact is console users have been carrying people like you for a while now, and if you do not like it, you always have your older titles and whatever Steam will put on sale. BUH BYE to you both, and do not let the windows logo hit your worthless posteriors on the way out...
