I havent played GTA IV for a while, a 2-3 months maybe. Today, i installed it, and when i start it, it says that the patch is avilable and GFWL starts to download the patch. After 5-6 seconds this error shows up: "Can't download the update. Make sure that you are connected to the Internet. If the problem persists go to www.gamesforwindows.com/support. 0X80072751" <-- This is probably the error code. What should i do? Thanks.
There are a few things
First, has anything changed since you were last on, like a new router, or anti virus?
Try refreshing your winsock and TCP stack
Try uninstalling your GFWL Client.
Lastly try uninstalling and reinstalling your .Net framwork from the ground up being sure to install the versions update before moving to the next version.
