In games like GTA IV I wish to see advertising of real products why? a little more realism instead of Burger Shot.. you can go to MacSht or BurgerSht (anyways... the service in Burger shot inside of GTA IV is like in the real life scks. Stick out tongue)

I guess that depends of advertising quality and well placed and non intrusive could be ok.

However could be in the future games plagued with bad advertising, intrusive advertising and so on.. (could you imagine a specific designed long load screen to show commercials? creepy yeah?).

Could you imagine... playing COD and in the load screen watching Army commercials?, or could you imagine... playing NFS and watching Toyota commercials or playing GTA IV and watching Coors Light commercials? (e.g. of good advertising), or playing Resident Evil and watching old spice commercials Tongue Tied (e.g. of bad advertising)

Although I'm not against advertising in games... I fear that could easly move to the wrong direction.

If advertising bring games to PC... is ok..

If there is a reasoning behind advertising in the game & the premise is not just making huge amounts of money by annoying gamers. Then yes. But I do not like the fact that we get advertisements on a service we pay for like XBL. It is better now adays with NXE. The advertising inside of R6V series was cool the first time you see it, but it wears off quickly.

This is not the first game to do this, if you Play Burnout Paradise it will have adds like this one:

Even some of the cars in the game have adds on them, like a van that has ads for some sort of body wash.

I've actually always supported ads ingame, here's why, these are what in the past have contributed to much of the server cost and free DLC that has been available for games in the past.  I can only hope it continues to produce the same in the future as well.

For me ads in actual games have only added some realism or "flavor" of familiarity to a game anyway, so like I said, it doesn't bother me, and as for the loading screens; that bothers me none either.
