It happens with playing games of course, but I have noticed windowed application such as MediaPlayer unfocus themselves also after a random time frame, usually 30 minutes.

Anyone else came across this and knows a solution perhaps?

And no nothing in the registry or running in the background that shouldn't be there, so its not a virus or any form of malware. Perhaps a DirectX bug?

Either way any insight would be welcome :)

I get the same problem. It happens with SF4, GOW, FO3, GTA4.

I would try disabling visual themes before starting the game

I´ve played from all these games prior to GFWL installation without problems. It has something to do with GFWL and its updates.

Try playing offline.  If it happens offline too, its not a GFWL issue, its the game.  In which case, do what eastmanblues suggested.

If it only happens online, then there is a chance its LIVE related.

Either way its worth trying eastmanblues' troubleshooting.  You can always change the setting back if you want.

So, when you are playing these games in windowed mode they will occasionally just minimize?  Or will they minimize the return to windowed mode and almost flicker between them?  The more info you can provide us the better.  Also if you could provide a dxdiag and potentially a list of the processes running when you are experiencing this issue it would be appreciated.
